Good evening to you all. Today you have the pleasure of being bored by my first blog. I can promise it will not be as interesting as Charlie’s, and as I have been out of education for a year my grammar and spelling will also be slightly rusty.

The last blog ended with us arriving at the vineyard, I am sure as we left it on that note, and you have not heard for a few days, you have all been worried sick about what the wine had done to us. I am here to reassure you that we are still in one piece. After being woken up by the sound of Bob Marley and with a plate of scrambled eggs on toast we spent the day of the 31st sunbathing and repacking our cars. The evening was spent sampling some of Charlie’s father’s wine and tasting his sensational barbecue cooking. We also had the pleasure of tasting some of the local ‘moonshine’ which smelt like paint stripper and tasted worse, I think after tasting it I grew at least one hair on my chest.

Sunday 1st, and we headed into Bucharest, which was piping hot and muggy. We parked up outside Charlie’s dad’s flat and bundled inside with our dirty washing and suitcases. After making our base we headed out for a lovely lunch in Bucharest at a restaurant called The Embassy, Jonty’s belly satisfied we went back to the apartment to get ready for the fundraiser at the local Irish pub called James Joyce. The evening was eventful and we met many characters, including a Liverpudlian who could talk for England, and the very generous Irish landlord, who treated us to quadruple Jack Daniels and numerous shots. Having got fairly drunk we ended up in McDonalds, probably Jontys influence, then crashed out back at the flat.

Monday 2nd we woke up and headed back down to James Joyce’s and had a spot of lunch, notice I didn’t mention breakfast as we had a well deserved lie in…we spent the afternoon looking around Bucharest, saw the ‘Peoples Palace’ which was less a palace, more a huge government building, but impressive none the less.

So that is us up to date, and you have had your first post from me, I shall try not to bore you with my ‘tantalizing’ literacy much more on this trip. But I like to keep you all updated. I should pre warn you I don’t think the yurts of Mongolia will have sufficient bandwidth to update our blog, so if we go quiet don’t fret and just check the tracking.

Lots of love to our thousands of fans…

I love you all
