Four foolhardy young men, two old hatchbacks, no mechanical experience, 10,000 miles – it sounds like a recipe for disaster, but this is our adventure for six weeks of summer 2010.

We will be joining 450 other teams on July 24th for the greatest adventure of our young lives on a trip that will see us driving 10,000 miles from the Goodwood race circuit in Sussex to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, and hopefully back home again (via plane) on September 2nd.

The four of us have purchased two 2001 Nissan Micra, each packing a whopping 998cc engine, and a CD player. Unfortunately, one broke. But it will, fingers crossed, be ready for our departure. The plan is to use our two trusty steeds to carry us, and our kit all the way to Mongolia, come hell or high water – and it’s all for charity!

Head on over to our blog page to keep up-to-date with our shenanigans!

Check out the Adventurists’ website for more details
