We are carrying a Spot GPS personal tracker with us in our car, all the way from Goodwood, UK to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This tracker automatically sends out a signal to satellites every 10 minutes, and logs our latitude and lontitude on a google map for you to see!
This same device allows us to call “911” if we have a life threatening situation – in which case our insurance send out a helicopter to pick us up!?

We turn the tracker off when the car isn’t moving – got up late this morning so that’s probably why! 🙂
